Govt Announce Commencement of YouWiN Connect Online Training

The federal government of Nigeria has announce the Commencement of YouWin Connect Online Training.

The YouWiN Application Portal now YouWiN Connect is a re-launch of the YouWiN programme of the Nigeria Federal Ministry of Finance.

YouWiN Connect aims to support young Nigerian entrepreneurs as they PLAN, START and GROW their businesses.

The objective of the programme is to promote entrepreneurship, job creation and wealth creation via enterprise education for young Nigerians.

This initiative is achieved by providing Enterprise Education, Funding, as well as access to technical and consulting services startup founders and inspiring entrepreneurs from the 6 geographical areas of the country and even Diaspora.

 According to a report by A.M Tanimu an Online Editor with the Africa’s Largest TV Network, NTA Nigeria quoted the Minister of Finance Kemi  Adeosun as follows:


Kemi Adeosun, Abuja: As part of the Capacity building objective of the Youth Enterprise With Innovation in Nigeria YouWin Connect program;

We are pleased to announce the imminent commencement of the online training which is geared at strengthening the entrepreneurial capacity of each participant through exposure to relevant SME development materials and tools such as technical, legal and financial skills in business management.

This training will begin on Tuesday December 5, 2017 from 4pm and will be delivered exclusively on the YouWiN! Connect Learning Management Platform.

As from today 1st December, 2017, successful applicants will start to receive their personal login credentials via their registered email addresses.

These credentials will enable participants to access the online training platform.



So if you missed this 2017/2018 edition, but still think you can leverage on this opportunity to boost your business, then below are the YouWin Connect registration criteria.


The YouWiN Connect Application Requirements 

  • All applicants must have post-secondary school qualification.
  • Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 40.
  • Applicants must be Nigerians and resident in Nigeria.
  • Applicants businesses must be domiciled in Nigeria.
  • Applicants must be able to communicate effectively – e.g: speaking and writing in English.
  • Applicants must be willing to attend all training and mentoring exercises organized by the YouWin programme.
  • Applicants must not be an employee of the Nigerian Civil Service.
  • Previous YouWiN awardees are not eligible to apply.


How to Register for YouWiN Connect Program

Since YouWin is an empowerment program that is set up to create jobs for the ever increasing Nigeria young population. The Federal Government of Nigeria has not included any price for Youwin form or its registrations.

The YouWiN Connect Application for 2017/2018 was opened on July 24 and it is free.

Application closes August 30th, 2017. And the Online Training Process (Accelerator Phase1) begins on Tuesday December 5, 2017. But hope is not lost.

How the YouWiN Connect Application Process Works

The YouWIn Connect application process requires that you Login and register by first write a business plan indirectly and submitting some answers related to your business.

You must have a viable business idea in mind or have started the business in question before you can get cash from Youwin Connect Program.

After you successfully submitted the online application, the facilitators will then select the most promising businesses ideas or business ventures across different sectors of the economy from the 6 geopolitical zones.

These selected applicants are then given online business training, mentoring and seed funding – up to the tune of 10 Million Naira to start or grow their businesses!

The best part of the YouWIn Connect initiative is that it is a Federal Government Grant, so you will not be required to pay the money back to the government.
